Among the multiple announcements by NIS America today, Battle Princess of Arcadias, a sidescrolling action adventure game from Nippon Ichi Software was confirmed for a EU and US release this year, as a digital exclusive on Sony’s Playstation Store. The game sees you fighting waves of enemies in real-time battles while you travel through the kingdom of Schwert as the Battle Princess Plume. As the princess, it’s up to you to rid your kingdom of monsters by recruiting several warriors and taking on any enemies that stand in your way.
Originally available both in physical and digital versions in its Japanese release, the localised versions will be available only as a digital download. The english release will also not be including an english vocal track, with only the japanese audio present in the game. For some fans, this will probably be a non-issue, especially for those who are adverse to english dubs for games and anime. However, the dubs produced by NISA for many of their titles are generally well made, so its a shame that Battle Princess of Arcadias won’t be receiving one.
