Super Motherload, the retro-styled mars mining game from XGen Studios is now available on PC via Steam as an early access game. We had a fantastic time with our PS4 copy of the game earlier this year and the Steam version will bring the co-op action to PC gamers worldwide. As with the PS3 and PS4 versions, couch co-op (local multiplayer) is built in, making it a great game to play if you’re looking to get a group of people together to play.

XGen Studios is excited to announce today that they’ve brought Super Motherload back to the platform where it all started: the PC. An in-development version of Super Motherload is available starting today on Steam for $14.99 with a 10% launch week discount through the Early Access program. This latest PC release adds to the growing list of supported platforms, which also includes PS4™ and PS3™.

“Although initially slated for Summer 2014 release, we’ve decided to allow eager PC fans to get their hands on an Alpha version of Super Motherload a bit earlier” explains CEO & Founder Skye Boyes.

The PS4™ and PS3™ Cross-Buy versions of Super Motherload are also being discounted for one week starting today as part of the PlayStation “Back to 2013” promotion, with a sale price of $7.50 and a PlayStation®Plus price of $3.75.

Super Motherload’s addictive, zen-like gameplay has attracted much attention from industry journalists, appearing as the subject of a Penny Arcade comic and garnering a 8/10 from Destructoid. Game Revolution calls it “an awesome blend of obsessive compulsive profiteering and addictive, satisfying gameplay”, giving the game a 4.5 out of 5.
