In a surprise announcement today, SEGA revealed that Hatsune Miku: Project Diva f will be coming to Vita owners in Europe and North America next year. When Project diva F (the PS3 version) was finally released in english this summer, many were crying out for the Vita version to also get a localised release. Now those fans’ prayers have been answered, and they can look forward to enjoying the same songs while on the move, as well as enjoying the Vita’s touch controls and AR functions to bring Hatsune Miku into the real world!

The English PS3 release of the Vocaloid powered rhythm game has been well received among fans of the series, which helped Sega make the decision to bring the Vita version to the west. Currently, the Vita release has only been announced for digital download via Sony’s Playstation Network online service. Hopefully, this progress in getting the Project Diva series to english-speaking territories may give fans hope that the upcoming Project Diva F 2 could also get localised. An announcement video has been released by Sega to celebrate the reveal:
