Square Enix has announced this morning that Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster will launch for PlayStation 4 May 2015 on the 12th in North America, May 15th for Europe .

The game was already released on both the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita so to differentiate the release from the previous release it will include system-exclusive features such:

– Enhanced Graphics – As if the PlayStation 3 version of the game wasn’t gorgeous enough! They enhanced the graphics even further for the current gen consoles!

– Cross-Save Functionality – Players can transfer their save and continue their progress across the PlayStation 4 system, PlayStation 3 system, and the PlayStation Vita handheld entertainment system.

– Ability to Switch Between Original and Remastered Soundtrack – Play Final Fantasy X with the beautifully remastered soundtrack or, new to the PlayStation 4 system version, switch back to the original classic tracks.

– Remote play – Supported for the PlayStation Vita

If you pre-order the game in Europe from the Square Enix Store you will be able to get a stunning steelbook case to hold your game inside with a design from from the legendary artist Yoshitaka Amano of Yuna our heroine of both Final Fantasy X and X-2 and the inside art depicts the opening scene from Final Fantasy X.
