Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom revolves around the kingdom of Ding Dong Dell, where cats, mice, and humans live together in happiness. After a treacherous overthrow of the throne, Evan the King, is deemed as ‘too nice’ for the job and leaves the kingdom of Ding Dong Dell to find himself and become a stronger leader. Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom plays as a story being retold of the king and his journey to build a new kingdom and bring the world together in harmony.

As Evan journeys through the kingdom he meets Roland, a visitor from another world, and Tani, the daughter of the leader of sky pirates. Players will encounter many characters to join Evan’s quest including the Higgledies race. In battles the Higgledies provide support moves during battles including offensive and defensive buffs, increasing stats, and assist in attacking enemies.

Ni-No-Kuni-2-2
From what I have seen in clips although visual elements seem reminiscent of the previous game the world and combat appear to be less cartoonish than the first one. Players can explore a variety of towns and dungeons across the open world, conversing with no playable characters and fending off monsters as like other JRPGS. Revenant Kingdom will also retain the options of doing side quests , errands and side stories which will give hours more of gameplay.
