Earlier this year, Phantom Breaker : Battle Grounds, the retro styled beat’em up spin off from the Phantom Breaker fighting game was released on the PS Vita in Japan after previously being exclusive to Xbox Live Arcade. With the original XBLA version of the game getting localised and released in Europe and America, many hoped that this new Vita version would receive the same treatment. Now, several months after the Japanese release, it looks like the Vita version of Phantom Breaker : Battle Grounds is coming to Europe, after the rating information was found on the German games rating board, USK, which classifies games and assigns age ratings depending on their content.
So far, little has been announced about the game’s release outside of Japan other than a brief mention that work has commenced on building the overseas version of the game via Sakari P’s blog from 5pb’s game divison. With the game officially rated by USK, this hopefully means that the game will be coming to Europe (and most likely America as well). For anyone who’s seen/read/watched/played MAGES’ popular Steins;Gate series, Makise Kurisu is also a playable character in Battle Grounds, via a DLC pack.
