Plants vs Zombies 2 finally makes it to android [Update 2]

Update 2 – 24/10/2013 -We’ve confirmed that Plants vs Zombies is now available to download and install worldwide on Google Play!

The eagerly awaited sequel to Plants vs Zombies has finally started to reach the many Android-owning fans of the series after launching a few months ago only on iPhone and iPad. After weeks of endless questions about the android release and rumours of paid exclusivity deals, Plants vs Zombies 2 has launched on the Google Play store for android based phones, tablets, watches, microwaves, etc…

The Android release of PvZ2 includes integration with the Google Play Games service to track achievements and leaderboards against your other PvZ2-playing friends with a Google account linked to the game.

Plants vs Zombies 2 is available for free on Android and iOS

Update – It looks like the current version of Plants vs Zombies 2 on the Google Play store is only available for devices in Australia and New Zealand as part of EA’s ‘soft launch’ for the game. Hopefully the game will be made available for other regions sooner rather than later.
