Late last year, PQube announced their plans to bring the Science Adventure Visual Novel, Steins;Gate to PS3 and Vita, following JAST USA’s translation & release of the game on PC in mid 2014. Now, It looks like we may finally have a release date for when you can expect to experience the Time-travel adventure with the Future Gadget Laboratory, and it could be arriving to the UK/EU pretty soon.

Earlier this week, ShopTo posted their pre-order page for the PS3 and PS Vita versions of Steins;Gate with Friday April 10th listed as the release date for both versions of the visual novel series developed by 5pb & MAGES. It also appears that MCV, the games industry trade magazine and website are also listing April 10th as the release date for the game.

While it’s just over a month away from the alleged release date, it is quite possible this could be the correct date, since the game has already gone through the german rating board, USK as of last month, and the offical facebook group has been posting teaser images from the English PS Vita version for a while.

We’ve contacted the publishers, PQube for confirmation on this apparent release date confirmation

Until then, you can check out the original pages for both games on ShopTo here:

About The Game:
“STEINS;GATE is the award-winning time travel science-fiction interactive visual novel developed by 5pb. and Nitroplus. STEINS;GATE was awarded Famitsu magazine’s coveted annual Game of Excellence award, and was voted one of the most emotionally charged “tear-inducing games” ever made, in a Famitsu poll. It is widely considered to be the finest Visual Novel ever made.

STEINS;GATE follows a rag-tag band of tech-savvy young students who discover the means of changing e past via text message, using a modified microwave. Their experiments into how far they can go with their discovery begin to spiral out of control as they become entangled in a conspiracy surrounding SERN, the organisation behind the Large Hadron Collider, and John Titor – a mysterious forum poster who claims to be from a dystopian future.

Interaction with the game takes place through the “phone trigger” system, where the player can receive calls and text messages and decide whether to reply to them or not, changing the outcome of the game’s plot.

STEINS;GATE is a gripping and moving Visual Novel, which has already spawned manga and anime adaptations. PQube is excited to be bringing the original Visual Novel experience to fans and newcomers in North America and to Europe for the first time.”
